It's running on mine, in fact, I'm gonna go redo the waypoints right now.

The bots definately seemed to like this map better, they didn't keep getting hung up on waypoints. So the waypoint count is now SIGNIFICANTLY reduced. Like maybe by 2/3. Now I don't know where the bots get stuck yet, I just made the waypoints and teleported the bots around to make sure they could get out of all the places, and I saw them go up all the ladders, and watched the bots run from their respective starts, and get to the enemy base and hurt the hive/CC.

So heres the waypoint... and, I got bored, so I recorded a demo of doing some of the waypoints lol

See, this is the main reason behind the term "beta testing". Weeding your maps and such of bugs BEFORE releasing it to the general public.

trouble is getting ppl to help u test it especially if u dont own a server is nearly impossible so ive had to do the testing myself and of course mistakes are made and certain problems only become evident with playtesting over time. if u were a mapper ud understand the need to get a map outta the way and released quickly after putting so much time allready into making it... i agree tho i shulda released the first versions under the beta name but i wasnt expecting it to get on any servers (none of my previous maps have). well lesson learnt i guess, alltho i doubt ill map again until i see a good mod popping up for half-life 2 anyway

Yes, I am very proficiant with worldcraft and have made quite a few TFC maps in my time but I have always put a version number to any and all my maps while beta testing so they don't get confused with older versions and mistakes. tongue.gif

Public beta testing a map you can not test on your own is fine as long as the users know it's subseptible to changes in future updates.

Indeed.

It's those damned little bugs that cause the most problems... and people complaining about them and such.

You people making maps for your fancy schmancy finished mods got it easy! laugh.gif I useda do maps for The Coming... before it went under... it's a pain trying to get worldcraft/hammer to do stuff it's not designed to do for a game thats not finished! dry.gif
