Yeah I had that problem with my Whichbots when I used em.. maybe there could be like..

rcbot config add_bot_pass spoot

then you could do like..

rcbot addbot spoot 1
rcbot addbot spoot 2

for users who arent listed in the bot_users...

but you mentioned youre gonna add the on-the-fly addition and subtraction of users... I dunno, I got a headache tongue.gif

I voted NO and here is why. If your using rcbot on a internet dedicated server like most people do then some players may wind up filling the server to compacity with bot's leaving no room for human players.

Whichbot offered this feature for LAN servers but also gave an option to disable it for internet servers because of that problem.

I agree wih Sandy, it's bad enough watching for game hackers and fighting off rcon attacks, without having something else to spoil the general users fun. I have found that even giving Admin rights to others you do trust, to be fraught with problems, so to give the general public the ability to Add and Subtract Bots freely is asking for trouble!
So it's a NO vote for me as well...

I take it here we are talking about 'config real_mode' being introduced? unsure.gif

I think he was talking more along the lines of..

CODE
rcbot add_admin <[UEA]>Gruuunt{NS} 6

you only get access level 6! laugh.gif tongue.gif

CODE
rcbot del_admin <[UEA]>Gruuunt{NS}

and you get it revoked, cause youre a bad brit! biggrin.gif

If it's defense for your rcon password that your looking for then I have a pretty good way of protecting that. Anyone hacking my hlds 4110 server would have to be damn good to find it. tongue.gif

Come up with a 12 random character password... they're not really that hard to memorize. tongue.gif

Yeah, that's one way. Another would be to hide your rcon pass in another cfg file. Works like a charm wink.gif
