We know about the bug where you can't really put a build waypoint, because it is mostly just move waypoints....
But the problem is that whenever I give a waypoint, they tend to skip the structure instead of building it on sight,is this some sort of alteration to the code??Because they tend to not build my turrets at the start of the game.... |

Yes you're right and I know why.
It's because bots only search for things to do if they haven't got any tasks left to do. If a bot goes to it's goal waypoint and then has a look around to look for things to do and see's an unbuilt structure then it will build it. But if a bot is already walking a path to somewhere and sees an unbuilt structure it will ignore it because the code to add the task "build structure" only happens when the bot doesn't have any tasks left. So if you are the commander and give a bot an order nearby an unbuilt structure, chances are that it has finished it's tasks because giving them an order does so and then tells them to go wherever and do something, but because on NS bug it wont set build waypoints. Anyway chances are the bot would have finished all its task when it reaches the command area and sees the structure if its looking at it for a brief moment, and will build. So it's a bit of a limitation, I know how I can sort it of course if you want me to do so on another version ![]() (But provided the NS bug is fixed that doesnt let set build waypoints it should work all the time!) |
