Bots on Ladders..., Or rather, Bots NOT on ladders... ( Options

I know that this bug is known, but i was wondering what was up with the Ladder bug...

Why wont any bots climb ladders. Its anoying to try to use Sven Co-op maps because alot contain ladders. And in ns_eclipse i had 6 bots on my team and 3 were trapped in an area cause they couldnt climb out!

I just think i would like to know why that is...

I don't know much why they can't climb well either, there is a bug in NS which hasn't been touched which sometimes make you stick at the bottom of ladders, this is waht happens to most bots, excpet skulks since they can wall climb. I don't know why the skulks wont wall climb either, they are facing the wall/ladder, looking up and pressing forward and they just wont move!!! Similar to ladder problems, I will have to re-write some of the ladder stuff.

I think what the problem here is that the bots are not actually looking up or down. They just seem to only want to move foward, left or right. It doesn't look like they can look up or down or move backward.

I tried again to get the bots to climb walls but they just seem to hit the wall head on and convulse. They do the same thing on ladders but are able to climb, just can't decend without falling. They just jump when they reach the top and wind up falling.

Personally, I have found that crouching when you reach the top of a ladder is 99% more effective to procede past the top then as to jumping.

I am trying to fix ladders and wallsticking now, plus they will crouch as you said whne they want to leave a ladder.

The whichbot wall-sticks exellently, I'll need to see if theres anything I'm missing out Perhaps the bots are thinking they are stuck because they're not moving 2 dimensionaly or something..
