Currently it only works for MvM, but if you want just an MvM server you can have it. There are still a bit of work that needs doing...

1) Disable Bot GL (MvM Rules), the blocker plugin already disables it for humans.
2) Make bots support MvM, AvA and MvA
3) Add Menu Support for New Bot Types

Heres an Update:

Bots have currently been tested and works with:
1) MvM Game Play Mode
2) MvA Game Play Mode
3) Bots GL in MVM Mode has been disabled
4) RCbot Menu Update / Modified (Same Menu as before more or less)


Still Requires Testing:
1) AvA Game Play Mode

AvA mode is currently being developed by KCE and therefor cannot test AvA game play currently.

GL is now disabled for bots in MvM Game Mode as GL are too powerful in MvM mode, i think a bot killed 3 or 4 people with one GL Gren so i have disabled it for bots, an extra plugin is required to disable it human side.

I will release it soon...next day or two

I will release it Saturday or Sunday, 100% promise. Its working, i was just playing around with it, i wanted to add weapon support so on certain maps, admins can disable or enable certain skills and equipment.

This has put me behind, it kinds works, kinda doesnt. Thats whats taking the time. If i could get a little help, see were i am going wrong Cheeseh, i will be very greatful smile.gif

P.S the bots work amazing in MvM mode, i mean total slaughter house biggrin.gif

As i promised, RCbot 1.442 (Beta) which now supports fully MvM and should also support AvA. If you get any problems with the MvM or AvA side please contact me only as Cheeseh does not wish to support these gameplay modes.

Furture development which i am still working on is adding skills and weapon support, i attempted to do this before i release 1.442 but did not have time to sort the problems out.

Add to bot_config.ini:

mvm_game 0
ava_game 0

I took out all the weapon stuff in the end so everything is enabled. In the new release i am hoping to add weapons support. I will have to work with Cheeseh and update his source code with my changes. According to Reima, the ladder and squad stuff is not working as it should, although these areas have not been touched, if someone could confirm it i would be very greatful.

The only areas i touched were the joining of the teams and how that worked, so if anything went wrong, it would be the bots not joining a team. If someone could confirm any problems with my release compared with Cheeseh release i would be very greatful.

Not to get off the subject and good job Venom. Can you compile up a Linux release also? Our MvM runs on Linux so we are pretty much outta luck for a good bot on that server.

I stopped developing support for MvM and AvA for a few weeks, only a few days ago i recently got back into it since AvA was released. It seems that Khat plugin for AvA might of changed or i might of not coded AvA correct as they dont worry correctly in AvA mode so i am currently addressing this issue.

Since i last released the MvM version, i have formated my machine (no i havent lost any of the source code smile.gif ) but since then i cannot seem to compile it without errors, this is strange as it worked perfectly before, i have even tryed compiling cheeseh version 1.441 Beta without any luck so i am guessing i am missing something which i done before in order to compile it correctly without errors.

For the Windows based compiling i am using Visual C++ 6 with SP5, this is the error i am getting and i would be greatful if anyone could easily solve it or remind me what to do to fix it.

Even though i cannot compile and test the new version of the bots, i will continue to code as i presume most of my code is correct until tested otherwise.

I will see what i can do about a Linux version, please keep in mind i do not use Linux NS servers so i cannot be 100% sure it will work correctly as i cannot test it, thus i would recommended putting the bots on a test server instead of a public server, either that or make sure you backup the .dll file or what ever Linux uses as the main RCbot file.

If someone could figuar out what i am doing wrong i would be very greatful smile.gif

that's not an error, its just saying it cant copy the file to where cheeseh copies it to on his machine. check whatever build folder you chose and the hpb_bot.dll should be in there

but, you oughta post your code up here so cheeseh can eventually merge it into the main program for his releases so you dont have to keep re-editing the source every time he makes a release

Yeah i did notice that after i posted that it had created a DLL file any way. I will release the source code to Cheeseh when it works 100%, the AvA mode doesnt work currently but MvM mode works perfectly. The problem i have with AvA is for some reason one alien team just sits in base and only attacks when it see's any enemy, the other team works perfectly.

But i will release it as soon as MvM and AvA works correctly then i will look into compiling it under Linux.
