I followed the turorial and installed everything propertly, I tried to change the lines many times, but SC keeps crashing. RCBots are installed into D:\Games\Counter-strike folder, and Sven Co-op is in D:\Games\Counter-strike\svencoop , but it's still not working.. This is how my liblist.gam looks like.

game "Sven Co-op"
url_info "http://www.svencoop.com"
url_dl "http://www.svencoop.com"
version "3.0"
size "5"
svonly "0"
cldll "1"
secure "0"
hlversion "1110"
nomodels "0"
nohimodel "1"
type "multiplayer_only"
mpentity "info_player_deathmatch"
gamedll "D:\Games\Counter-Strike\rcbot\dlls\rcbot.dll"
gamedll "dlls\hl.dll"

If i cut the hl.dll thing , sc keeps crashing.. If i change rcbot.dll direction , it keeps crashing too..
LordSkitch
try

gamedll "../rcbot/dlls/rcbot.dll"

and get rid of the hl one

yes, remove the gamedll "dlls\hl.dll" line that will confuse it
SoftTouch
Humph.. I swear i tried that before, but it works.. Almost.. dry.gif

yeah well thats closer tongue.gif

now put in "..rcbot/dlls/rcbot.dll" instead of the full path

and put the Rcbot files ...
http://filebase.bots-united.com/index.php?...file&id=210
...into the counter-strike directory (in your case) It should write into the rcbot folder
SoftTouch
Strange, still having the same problem. Here's how my liblist.gam looks now.

the liblist.gam is fine. the fact that you receive rcbot messages in the console reflects this.

the rcbot message error you receive means the bot dll and its files (the botprofiles folder that it is looking for) is not installed to the correct folder. in your case there should be a d:\counter-strike\rcbot\botprofiles folder with lots of .inis inside and a bot_players.ini file in the rcbot folder.
SoftTouch
Well, yeah, there are many .ini files, but i'm missing only one thing. The bot_players.ini [ um, i have bot_profiles.ini]
Oh, and by the way, i noticed , that when i try to run SvenCoop with 1.3v dll files, and 1.4v files it crashes.
It works only 1.41v. dll's and 1.4 files
If i try to run Svencoop with 1.3v files, it crashes.. It's getting annoying ;D
Cheeseh
oops, bot_profiles.ini thats what I meant.

make sure the bot folder is in the correct directoy.

Maybe because you are using the counter-strike retail version it is different .

see this thread about making a rcbot_folder.ini file

http://rcbot.bots-united.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1061

(replace ns folder with SvenCoop)
SoftTouch
Allright, but if my Sven folder is : D:\Games\Counter-strike\Svencoop
And my rcbot folder is in : D:\Games\Counter-strike\rcbot
Thats means i should write in my rcbot_folder.ini :
counter-strike\rcbot ??

if you are using the rcbot_folder.ini method, put the rcbot_folder.ini in...

D:\Games\Counter-strike\Svencoop

note: if it still doesnt work, try moving the rcbot folder into Svencoop folder and change the liblist.gam file and rcbot_folder.ini accordingly.
SoftTouch
What the hell is wrong..? I'm still having the same problem.. I'm so pissed off.. mad.gif
Edit : .... I tried to put rc folder into svencoop's , i changed everything, but... I'm still having the same error.
[note : what should i exactly write in the rcbot_folder.ini file? ;D]
SoftTouch
I tried everything.. Still no use
Cheeseh
if you put rcbot folder into the Svencoop folder then just type

Svencoop/rcbot/

into the rcbot_folder.ini
SoftTouch
Still having the same error.. mad.gif

Ok, i did put the rcbot folder into svencoop's,
i did put rcbot_folder.ini file into svencoop folder and i did wrote svencoop/rcbot,
i did change the liblist.gam

well, then, what the hell is wrong? huh.gif

Here's My liblist.gam :

game "Sven Co-op"

nohimodel "1"
type "multiplayer_only"
mpentity "info_player_deathmatch"

Here's my rcbot_folder.ini

SoftTouch

I don't think the forward slash/back slash makes much difference. How far did you get to getting it to work?
SoftTouch
Believe me, not far. I tried installing bots to TFC [Team fortress classic] , well, but i'm still getting the same error. I tried the rcbot_folder.ini thingie, no use..
SoftTouch
Ok, i got them working. But the only problem is that these bots cant find wayponts. I tried playing TFc with them, but they just keep walking to a wall biggrin.gif
Any suggestions, how to make them to find those waypoints?

well however u got them working, I guess u moved the rcbot folder somewhere? It will be looking for the rcbot folder in the main half-life folder, and the waypoints are stored in the rcbot/waypoints/tfc folder for TFC, If u are using WON (Non-Steam HL) then the rcbot folder should be in the same level as the mod folders(i.e. in the main HL folder, not the Valve folder) If you are using the Steam version of HL then the rcbot folder goes into the same level where the "Team fortress classic" folder resides (not in the team fortress classic folder!)
Cheeseh
oh looky what I found biggrin.gif if you understand spanish though ohmy.gif http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwzHPPtBm5k...feature=related
SoftTouch
The vid didnt tell me anything new, lol.
Now, i tried the old method again (halflife\rcbot) , (..rcbot\dlls\rcbot.dll) but when i choose a map and press start the game doesnt load.
(Oh, and sorry , those bots without waypoints were FoxBots, sor. ;D)
