Hello all!

I'm Cr(+)sshair xD

I am releasing working builds of RCBot2 Linux in both 32-bit and 64-bit!

Install as documented.

Important:

Place inside your orangebox/bin folder NOT TF2.
Add +plugin_load ../bin/HPB_bot2_i486.so to your server start command line! Replace i686 if running 64-bit!

Notes:

Waypoints and bot AI have been updated and improved.
Does not require sv_cheats 1.
Does not require -insecure.
Improved performance overall.

Feel free to post comments and bug reports. I look forward to keeping the linux version recent and stable!

Wow! You say it doesn't requires sv_cheats 1 and insecure? How you did that?
Can you do the same for the Windows version?

I wish Cheseeh were alive.

I'll do a Windows version if it's really needed. I just wanted to pump out these Linux versions since there were no working ones.

Also,

Please test this with HL2DM. If HL2DM crashes from it, I will make it stable.

In addition to requesting the windows version, how exactly is the bot AI improved? Also, I would test HL2DM with this if I had a Linux.

Hi,

Can you make also a Windows version of this ?????

Would be very great smile.gif

Thanx in advance.

You know, you also could give us the source so someone else will make the windows version cool.gif And I'd still like to know how exactly is the bot AI updated and improved. A video would be nice, or a detailed explanation.

I tested this build (32 and 64) on my TF2 server.

Biggest problem... only a few bots move (2 of 15 bots per team).
So, i removed it and replaced it with my own build.

Also sv_cheats 1 is needed. -insecure is not needed (just like the offical version, the documentation is not the best...)

So you have tried the build. Can you give us an explanation how are the bots better and perhaps supply a windows version of it?

I tested this build on a linux machine. I don't work with windows anymore. Also i programm on a mac, so i use a virtual machine for srcds development and a real linux machine for my gameservers. I'm sorry, no windows release.

I stopped testing this release after a few minutes. Too many bots standing motionless at the spawn.
The bots who get out of the spawn looked a bit confused. No idea what he has changed to the programm code.
... I also have verified the control with rcbot over the bots. The motionless bots are controlled by rcbot and not by the tf2 bots.

I'm still looking for a trick to get a correct player/slot count (bots reduce the max slots number). but i dont wanna fake the bots as a real client, this sucks. just be fair :) also with the slots count =)

So, what? Is this dead?

Been waiting for a Windows version fix for quite some time now, no one seems to want to post it. (For some reason.)

There's a Linux build, but I don't use that, sooooo.. Yeah.

Install using which build .058? I tried that and it crashes? What files are you using or is it broken again?
