Hello!

1st:
After Serverstart no bots will enter!
bots_quota is set correctly:
Humans "0" => Bots "2"

When i connect to the server and leave immediately bots will stay on server also after a map change?
What did i wrong? "rcbotd addbot" does nothing on my dedicated server!


2nd:
I wanted to update my server to Version 481 !
But when i replace the DLL(only the DLL) it says could not find bot_mods.ini
When i go back to the 473 DLL all runs fine.

these version i am running:
"rcbot_ver" = "TF2/HL2DM/DOD:S 1.00 META Win32 473 (BUILD Oct 15 2015-21:23:29)"

Not sure about the 1st question, so I'll try the 2nd... I think Nightcores and Cheesehs quota systems are different tho...?

Sounds like it can't locate the rcbot2 folder. Yeah, I know, it does not make sence if you are just dropping in a different dll. If you have not done so, you will need to update the hookinfo.ini, I think it may cause that message too? I'd also double check the rcbot2.vdf...

Here is Nightcores default rcbot2.vdf:

You can use the full path for the rcbot2path if you need to. That may help...?

I do want to caution you, on listen server I have not been able to get a stable nightly build for dods (Cheesehs). I just tried the v1.01 Dec 481 build and I still get random crashes, v1.0 is stable for me and does not crash. Maybe dedicated will be different?

Hey genmac, can you confirm any random crashes on Cheesehs Dec nightly build, on dods. You should see it within a couple 20 min rounds on dod_anzio. I've been running 15 or 16 bots depending on if I was playing or spectateing, all classes.

I have tested it on my listen server with the FULL PATH in the VDF! and its working!
(with the new hookinfo)

but i got some errors in console:

On my dedicated server i have this version: (and its running fine)

But as you say that 473 is stable and with the newer one there are some crashes i will stay on 473! smile.gif

It looks for me that there are 2 different versions of the RCBOTS? hmm..

Please check for random crashes with the dec build. It's the newest release, from the Cheesehs first post on the link:

It usually crashes in 10 to 15 minutes into the round, i'd like someone to confirm this cause it could be my crappy PC???

I've seen those messages too, think i'll check that again, I think it was this build?

Strange thing on Dedicated server!
I use exact the same Config and Files as on my listenserver, but only 1 Bots appear in Game!

This is the Error: Hook_SetCommandClient(-1)

i do some testing on my listenserver if crashing!.....
EDIT: Server crashes with Build 481 for me too...

And I see some strange errors on listen server thats why no Bot appear!
Unknown command: rcbot_sv_cheats_auto
Unknown command: rcbot_bot_quota_interval


These commands are not in the cvarlist od the server!
It looks like the version 481 is only for TF2 ?


I will stay on Build 473. Looks like this build is running perfect!

Ok play tested it, Dec 19 compile....it was stable until on the 4th map change, freezes until it ctd at around 15-20 min sof gameplay.

so will re-test the...rcbot_ver TF2HL2DMDODS 1.01 META win32 481 (BUILD Nov 21 2015-085907)...for stability.

Just saw your edit... rolleyes.gif Well I tried both those builds, and I have only managed to get through one 20 minute round. My PC is low end and I only have 1.5 gb of system RAM on winXP, so I'm guessing there is a memory leak, I think I may be running out of memory when it crashes. You likely have more system RAM (I think everyone does by now, LOL), so it may take longer for it to crash???

btw, what version of mmsource have you been using, I could try that... Oh, and I crash straight to the desktop, maybe a brief freeze then crash... blink.gif

I'm using the latest snaphot....mmsource-1.10.7-git951.

Btw the test was on 30 mins timelimit. May BE you should try the Oct compile?

For me it looks like the releases after Build 473 are not stable for DODS!

I have used Build 474 on my server and it crashes sometimes. with 473 no Problem!



but what is about my other Question? Can anybody help me or is it just a problem with "hibernating" on the dedicated server ?

Cant you use the command that there ar Always, 5 bots min and let
's say 20 bots max on the server.

I use, 0 bots min and 12 bots max., they leave 1 by one.... Works flawless.

Cant wait to see updates for Dods if they may come

TF2, seems the one getting most of the stability fixes but then again I only play test the bots on a listenserver so dedis operators will just have to use older releases when 481 just not stable enough.
